Burna Boy wins Best International Act at BET Awards

Nigerian musical sensation, Burna Boy has won the Best International Act at the BET Awards 2020 in a webcast presentation by top model, Naomi Campbell.

This is the second year in a row that Burna Boy has won the award, following his initial win in 2019 that accompanied a powerful speech from his mom on receiving the award.

The category he won is headlined by popular artistes, including Innoss’B from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sho Madjozi from South Africa, Dave and Stormzy both from the United Kingdom, Ninho from France, and S.Pri Noir from France.

In receiving his award via telecast, Burna Boy ended his short speech with a poignant quote, “in order for black lives to matter, Africa must matter.”
