President Buhari appoints Daniel Amokachi as Special Assistant on Sports

Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has appointed former Super Eagles forward, Daniel Amokachi as his Special Assistant on Sports.

In a letter dated on August 17th, 2020 and signed by the Secretary to the Federal Government, Boss Mustapha, it stated, “I am pleased to inform you that Muhammadu Buhari, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has ap­proved your appointment as Special Assistant on Sports.”

The appointment takes effect on August 11th, 2020 and was presented to the former Everton forward by the Nigerian Minister of Sports, Sunday Dare.

In his role as Special Assistant on Sports, Daniel Amokachi will advise the President of Nigeria on all sports-related matters.
