Ubong Kingsley-Udoh conferred with Honorary Doctorate from Weldios University

Foremost cybersecurity leader, Ubong Kingsley-Udoh has received an honorary doctorate from Weldios University, Cotonou, Benin Republic. The conferment and awards ceremony took place on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the iconic Palais des Congres in the heart of the Benin Republic’s capital, Cotonou.

Weldios University is a private university in Benin Republic geared towards providing a quality educational experience for students in a wide range of disciplines. It offers Undergraduates and Postgraduate courses with full accreditation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Republic of Benin (MESRS).

Ubong Kingsley-Udoh was awarded an honorary doctorate in science following his distinguished works in the field of cybersecurity and information assurance. He works at the nexus of cyber, society, and public policy with two decades of experience in the technology industry.

Speaking at the conferment ceremony, the registrar of Weldios University, Dr. Ugo Magnus Kel reiterated that the award is to honour outstanding members of the society in varying fields of human endeavours who have created immense impact thereby becoming role models to society.

During his acceptance speech, Dr. Ubong Kingsley-Udoh said, “I’m elated to receive this honorary degree in science from Weldios University.” He also implored graduating students of the institution to “keep dreaming big, be adventurous enough to challenge the status quo, and be prepared for opportunities that lie ahead.”
