Yoweri Museveni warns against foreign meddling in Uganda’s affairs

Uganda’s President, Yoweri Museveni has warned against foreigners meddling in its domestic affairs after  opposition politicians warned the United States to suspend military aid to Uganda citing the President’s human rights record. He also accused non-governmental organisations of receiving money from foreign donors to impugn his administration.

He got into power in 1986 and has adjusted the constitution to elongate his tenure in office. Just recently, President Museveni deploy thousands of auxiliary forces in the capital Kampala to boost security after a rash of assassinations of prominent people, including two police officers, a lawmaker and a public prosecutor.
