Saudi Arabia bans Hajj pilgrims from DR Congo over Ebola concerns

Saudi Arabia Foreign Ministry has suspended the issuance of visas to pilgrims from the Democratic Republic of Congo who wants to perform lesser Hajj.

The ministry said in a statement “the granting of arrivals visas for people entering from DR Congo has been stopped, to conserve the well being of pilgrims.” 

In mid-July of 2019, the World Health Organization declared Ebola to be a public health emergency of international concern.
